It’s that time again! I’m participating in this year’s Plunge for the Cure and raising money to support ovarian cancer research. My longtime boss and good friend Dr. Mandy Lee has been actively battling this disease for nearly ten years. I have seen her go through multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, medical trials, trips overseas for treatment, lifestyle changes - and all the while showing up for everyone else with compassion, kindness and a huge smile. Mandy is the absolute life of the party, she’s the person that everyone gravitates towards, she is sharp, witty and funny and she’s completely full to the brim with energy and zest for life. She is the person that everybody wants to be friends with, and I really mean EVERYBODY. Even with the immense difficulties and challenges that ovarian cancer has brought, Mandy chooses to face them head on with strength and determination, she really is the true definition of resilience. 

Ovarian cancer is incredibly underfunded and under-researched and that absolutely NEEDS to change and it is events like this that will help. This cause is so incredibly important to me and it would mean the world if you could spare anything to donate. Mandy and every other woman battling ovarian cancer deserve the best care possible, please help make this happen.
